Use cases

What your AI agent can do in SAP

Users ask in business terms. The agent works out which SAP objects to use from those IT has approved, and every answer comes from live SAP data.

Find your team’s questions

Tested end to end
“Where is order 12345, has it shipped, and has it been invoiced?”

Tested end to end
“Find duplicate customer records in sales org 1000.”

Spot duplicate master data and incomplete orders before they cause problems downstream.

Tested end to end
“Who changed this purchase order last week, and what did they change?”

Review user logons and change documents to show who changed what, and when.

Custom Z-processes

Tested end to end
“Run our custom check for this customer.”

Call internal and custom function modules, including non-RFC ones, with their full interfaces.

“Which customers in company code 1000 have items more than 60 days overdue?”

Answer from open items, ledgers and standard finance reports.

Maintenance

Available
“Which maintenance orders are open for this equipment?”

List notifications and work orders; create a notification when something breaks.

Available
“What stock do we have of material Y by plant?”

When SAP says no

The agent learns from SAP’s own messages

SAP still validates every call. Postings use a test run where SAP offers one and are read back afterwards. If an outcome is unclear, the agent checks SAP before retrying, so nothing is posted twice.

  1. 01Agent sends the callWith a test run first where SAP offers one
  2. 02SAP rejects itWith its own message, exactly as SAP GUI shows it
  3. 03Agent explains and correctsIn plain language, then fixes the input
  4. 04Posted and read backNothing half-posted, nothing posted twice

Beyond the request

After an order-to-invoice run in CGR’s demo system, the agent summarised the full document flow and worked out the order’s gross margin from the invoice and the inventory value, without being asked.
